IFS 2.0 This updated version of the IFS program is quite a bit larger and needs to be installed. On the other hand, it renders quicker, saves as JPEG files directly and has samples built right in.
To install, download this file, unzip, and run setup.exe. It will create a group under Start|Programs|Math Tools|IFS 2.0.

IFS 2.0 installer This is the exact same application as above. However, here it is packaged into a ZIP file and includes an install.bat file that copies the files and registers the dll.
NOTE: It does NOT create an application shortcut in the start menu or on the desktop. However, running it may make the standard version save JPG files (this feature seems to be broken in some cases.)
USAGE: 1. Download the file and extract the contents. 2. Run install.bat

IFS 0.5 This program is a modification of software used by Michael Frame in his classes at Yale and in his summer fractal institutes. It will no doubt go through several more modifications. Similar software is widely available on the internet. Feel free to download IFS ver5 for your own personal or classroom use. It is free. There is a tutorial for using IFS ver5 on the welcome page of this site.

IFS5.0 This is a new test version of the IFS program. This is the first version that saves GIF images instead of JPG and BMP. Consider using www.gifninja.com to combine the animation images to a single animated GIF.

IFS 3 - Beta This is a new version that we are experimenting with. It has the ability to generate animations - but still only to BMP files. GIF file support (maybe even animated GIF) to be added soon.
