New Site Load Problem: getting error on login screen that says password or login is incorrect| Author | | admin

6:11:23 PM | A: If you know the login is correct, then check to see that the /test.asp file doesn't report anything funny. One common mistake seems to be copying complete sites over but nothing from the /data directory.
Another test is to check to see if it is tracking visitors. Go to /Data/system/visitors/2005/5/10 (notice how the years and months work here).
If it doesn't have one for the current year, then it is having trouble writing to the database. Otherwise, just copy a user from another site and see if you can log in.
If the login screen is working, then 404 handler is set properly. | | |
