"Invisible Gold is fantastic and so easy to use! I love my web site but hadn't used it to send out an HTML web site, but decided I wanted to. All the information I needed was easy to find on invisiblegold.com and easy put to use. My marketing newsletter for Spring is ready in no time. Thanks John!"

How do I save an Invisible Gold powered website to use offline?| Author | | admin
3/18/2005 2:18:43 PM | Saving or extracting a website used to be tricky, but a very useful technique. For example, you might want to burn a CD of your website to use at a trade show.
Download and buy a copy of an extractor tool. A nice one is available at surfoffline.com. Note that if you have access to the website, it can be useful to remove any $LOGO2 tags in the frameworks so the pages don't have the login button at the bottom of the pages.
Also, any forms on the pages will be broken when you go offline. For example, the login page, or a search box won't work. You won't be able to take orders or make changes to the site on the CD. There are also templates that use a form even though you might not expect them to. For example, the calendar has one at the bottom of the list for choosing dates.
If you can live with these limitations it is relatively easy. | | |
