"Our website has been a wonderful way to connect to our community. Not long ago we began taking payment for our classes online and our camps filled up almost immediately, fully paid. Our students have thanked us and we're happier too."

What are those funny characters in my email newsletter messages?Usually when we get this question, it turns out that the article was written in Microsoft Word and copy/pasted over into their websites. This is a GREAT way of writing because it let's you use the Word spelling and grammer checking features.
The Problem Word replaces common characters such as " (quote) with ones that print a little nicer. Unfortunately email messages cannot diplay these characters so although they look good in your browser, they come out in an email as funny boxes.
Solution The easiest solution (besides not using Word to write the text), is to save the Word document as a "MSDOS Text File". After you give it a filename, it gives you the option to "Allow Text Replacements". Make sure it is checked and all of the funny characters will be replaced by ones that can display in an email.
NOTE: You'll need to open the new text file and copy/paste from it.
Other Otions The Rich Edit template actually has a "Paste From Word" feature that replaces the special characters.
