As I mentioned last night I will not be at Monday night's class. On the other hand you can, should, will use the time as a group to work on some of the problems in Eves's book. We can use our class site as a forum to exchange ideas on what problems that you might want to work on so that you can all have a head start.
I looked at figure 31 in the text regarding the trisection problem. It is all pretty clear to me except for one detail. I have no problem seeing that EG=GF=BA. But why are these three lengths also equal to GA?
This site can also be used as a forum for any questions you have on exercises throughout the semester. I will answer as many as I can. But often you will see things that I miss. So your comments are encouraged and welcome. Reconstructing solutions to ancient problems from the the ancients' point of view can sometimes be difficult. They really were as smart as we are.
