In what will likely become an almost daily occurence we will have a quick quiz on Wednesday. Things like--

    If  f(x) = 2x - 5 and g(x) = x² + 4 then what is f(g(x))?   And what is       g(f(x))?  Or for that matter, what is f(f(x))?

(Answers--    2x² + 3,      4x² - 20x + 29,    4x - 15  )

And something like-- Find f and g so that f(g(x)) = (2x² + 3).

       After the quiz we'll look at another few questions from the sample exam and begin the chapter on log and exponential functions on Wednesday.
